INTERACTION
Hello everyone!

I've chosen this activity for two main reasons. One of them is that I barely use storytelling with my 6th graders, which I want to modify in my practice. And secondly, because I have never used StoryJumper and I think challenging myself with new additions to my practice is important to keep updating my teaching as well as to continue learning and staying motivated.
The activity that I will propose to carry with my 6th graders is the following:
The objective of the activity: Writing and Illustrating a class book telling the anecdotes of their end-of-primary school trip.
Title of final task: "Our end of the year school trip"
Steps:
1. Think-Pair-Share (individual/pairs): To collect ideas of anecdotes and stories to include in the book
2. Brainstorm ideas of "anecdotes to add in the book" (whole class) and add them on the board in a Spiderweb-like concept map
3. Divide the anecdotes and stories into small groups (4-6 students) set in collaborative tables.
4. Use a collaborative learning method to run out the creation of the parts of the story or chapters of the class book (moderator, speaker, writer, researcher, illustrator...)
5. Organize the work considering the roles of each group member
6. Implement the stages of good writer practice:
a. Brainstorm
b. Plan
c. Draft
d. Write-Draw
e. Revise
f. Edit
g. Publish
6. Unify the different chapters/parts of the book and publish it on StoryJumper.
I believe this is a good final task and end-of-the-year project which allows students of 6th grade to apply the different tools they have been learning throughout the year and lets them develop their creativity by taking into account their own life experiences.
I hope you like it!
Bea
